since 2018, viktor benev has undertaken a consistent journey of exploring the endless horizons of electroacoustic music created in a controlled environment, that of a recording studio. an introverted dialogue with sound itself, rather than scoring in the traditional classical way. this approach, combined with a personal manifesto on music creation he wrote back in 2020, has given birth to aeon, architextures and five dreams, all three being works of exploratory nature, which were not conceived to be performed live. instead, like a still-life or sculpture, they capture extended artistic work periods to display the constant need of the musician to go deeper into the unknown nature of music and how it manifests itself to us. this process seems to preoccupy many composers and songwriters and up to this day, remains a total mystery.
